Blessing for Rosh Ḥodesh Adar 5781 and the world that’s on its way |
May it be a year of jammin’ out, and in: raspberry peach apricot quince chocolate and prune a year of wholeness, even when it’s of loving what’s in us: may it be a year of abundant unplugging dewdrops of hugs butterscotch caramel roasted garlic a year of sweeping crumbs a year in which for a king to offer for it to be a mitzvah to hear may it be our custom this year the one who is oh-so-confused in the months ahead may we put what is dear to us honesty integrity maple and pine may our ears and pockets cedar sage ceremony solidarity and may we find what is dear to us pomegranate lemon date and fig לַיְּהוּדִים הָיְתָה אוֹרָה וְשִׂמְחָה וְשָׂשׂוֹן וִיקָר׃[1] אסתר ח:טז. כֵּן תִּהְיֶה לָנוּ.[2] From the Havdallah after Shabbat, nusaḥ Ashkenaz. May it be so for us |
